harbordays.jpgMAKE IT A FUN FILLED LABOR DAY!!

Labor Day is always the first Monday in September and this year it is the first day of the month!  It is an important day that pays a yearly, national tribute to the contributions all workers have made on behalf of our country.

Labor Day usually signifies the end of summer and provides a great opportunity to get together with family and friends and enjoy our great outdoors, especially her in the magnificent Northwest and our beautiful South Sound region of Washington State!

Here are some helpful tips:

*Plan ahead for foods and make picnic style foods like ribs, chicken and fruit (especially watermelon).  Make your favorite potato, macaroni and slaw salads ahead.  Don’t forget napkins!

*If barbequing, par-boil your meats (separately) for about 15 minutes to generate more meat to enjoy and cut the barbeque time in half.

*Plan fun activities that entertain all ages from swimming to croquet to run races

*Inform guests what to bring and have a wonderful end of summer!

South Sound would like to thank all the workers for their time, efforts and generous contributions to their communities, workplaces and country.
